Hi! I'm a mom. Most of you are probably unaware that 'mom' is actually an acronym. M.O.M. Or, Made Of Marbles. Why marbles, you ask? You know the idiom of one losing one's marbles, right? Well, us M.O.M.s, we lose our marbles every day. We lose them when our babies cry, when our kids whine, when they fight, when they refuse to eat their vegetables, when they insist on wearing their sandals in freezing weather, when they won't let us go to the bathroom alone, when they tell us how we're ruining their lives...basically; All. The. Time.
Fortunately, as M.O.M.s, we're Made Of Marbles. So we have an everlasting supply of what we lose on a constant basis. Well, not of our hair, our boobs, or our youth...but at least our marbles.
So that explains who I am. As to what this blog is, VSG stands for Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. JLM stands for Jerusalem, the city in which I live (what out for loose marbles when visiting). Three weeks ago today I underwent a VSG. So this blog is to document my being an M.O.M. (which will, from here on out, be referred to simply in the vernacular, i.e. 'mom') with a VSG in JLM. Simple enough, right?
Welcome, and enjoy!
